Just discovered through a pic from Britney Spear's twitter (yes... I follow Britney on twitter :P) that Jia & Laura are both dancers on her tour! In case you don't know who they are, Jia Huang (Kaba Modern) and Laura Edwards (Fysh n Chicks) were both ABDC alumni, and both amazing dancers. I went to Laura's class over the past summer in LA at Debbie Reynolds and loved her dancing style. Girl's got swag! Jia is definitely one of my favorites from Kaba aside from Cindy Minowa. GAHH this makes me mad that I didn't buy a ticket to Britney's concert that's coming up this up coming Tuesday. =\ $163 for an upper level ticket... SHIT, I'm too broke for that. -sigh-

A 17-yr-old kid testified in Vermont over same-sex marriage, and his poignant speech brought me to tears. There is much respect that goes out to the kid for courageously voicing his opinion while still being open-minded and tolerant to others that might oppose his gesture. He made a lot of valid points in the speech and he's a very lucky child to be brought up well in a family that accepted him for who he is.

12 days of diet starts.......NOW!

I went to the hospital this past Wednesday to get my checkup on my heart condition. After the whole fainting episode during the basketball game really shook me up a bit so the hospital appointment was definitely something I needed to take care of. Good news is my condition isn't as bad as the paramedics made it seem like, bad news is... DAMN I am so ridiculously out of shape! I didn't realize how much weight I've gained and now I need to get back into diet mode. Nothing like starving myself because that shit doesn't work. I've come up with a plan and I hope that I can hopefully shape up in time for VSA Family Field Day/Camping... which means I really only have about 12 days to lost 10 lbs. -bites nails- Sounds like a case of mission impossible BUT I think I need this. Discipline, Julia... think discipline! -cracks whip-

So my new weight loss plan goes a lil something like this...
- Cereals in the morning
- Fruits (typically apples because they're filling) and crackers for lunch
- Small snacks throughout the day
- A good size dinner that cover proteins and fiber intakes
- No more food into the body system 3 hours before bedtime.
- Alternate diff. cardio workouts everyday.
- Last but not least, NO MORE FAST FOOD!!

On the side note, a bunch of us went to watch I Love You, Man earlier tonight. Another clever movie that makes me love Jason Segel more than I already do. Definitely adding it to my fave. movies list. From all of the previews we saw tonight, this one stood out to me the most. --> Year One. I think Michael Cera is perfect for this role. Can't wait for it to come out. :)

Hello world of bloggers. I have returned! :) Which means, I am once again putting myself in vulnerable positions where many of my friends can correct my horrible yet unavoidable grammatical mistakes at their convenience. :P

Since I no longer obtain my skills in photoshop & html coding, I decided to copy and tweak someone's design on createablog.com. =\ I feel awfully unoriginal but this will have to do for now. Once summer arrives or whenever VSA/school isn't pwning me anymore, I will make an attempt to allow my creative juices to flow and come up with something that's more of my own.

Like I used to do on my Xanga posts, I like to leave each post with some cute icons that are visually appealing. Sometimes they are more or less icons that speak to my mood at the time, but as for today, these will do. :)
